Troncones, Guerrero...

So much more than miles of pristine sandy beaches, rocky points filled with tide pools and endless surfing opportunities. It's beautiful mountains, incredible sunsets, amazing people and unlimited chances to explore a different culture.

Diversions...

Mountain biking, hiking, surfing, yoga, beachcombing, kayaking, horseback riding, birding and on and on. You can stay as busy as you want.

Or, partake in some of our other pastimes, like napping, reading, watching the sunset and spending time with family and friends

Quisine...

Mexico is famous for its food, and the coastal region of Guerrero stands out among the best. Taking advantage of the daily fresh harvest from the sea at our doorstep, a staggering variety of seafood, from traditional to upscale fusion are available here.

But for a "small town" we offer so much more. Mediterranean, Italian, Thai, Sushi, Argentinian and other eclectic restaurants share the space with the traditional taco restaurants and enramadas (seafood restaurants).

You could eat at a different place every night and probably still not cover them all. And during the high season, many places offer live music, dancing, happy hours and daily specials.

To summarize...

Troncones, which includes Majahua, Saladita, Playa Buena Vista and more, is a nearly indescribable town. It is the out of the way place that is easy to get to. Serviced by the International Airport (ZIH) for Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (only 30 minutes or so away), you'll easily forget you are close to civilization.

It is the quiet, laidback vibey kind of place that is full of life and activities if you decide that's what you want.

It is the "Best Kept Secret" that no one can keep once you have been here.

Come see for yourself what Troncones is, and isn't, and you will find no better place to call home than Casa Punta Ballena!
